What you get

Four things change. Everything else about claude.ai and chatgpt.com, including the address bar above them, stays exactly as it is.

Redraws the whole page

The chat interface becomes a document layout, not a picture placed over it. Typing, sending and file uploads keep working underneath.

Renames the tab

The tab title switches to a document name the moment the page loads, so the tab strip never says ChatGPT or Claude.

Swaps the icon

The favicon changes with it, so the small icon in the tab matches the document, not the assistant sitting behind it.

Install the extension

Add Docognito from the Chrome Web Store. It asks for a single permission, storage, and nothing else.

Open claude.ai or chatgpt.com

The page redraws itself as a document as soon as it loads. Typing, sending and replies all still work the way they always did.
